I came upon this scene in the Cape Cod National Seashore at midday and I knew I had the return near sunset! I loved how the tree trunk and branches mimicked and framed the angles of the inlet.
I returned a year later, only to discover that someone (probably another photographer) had cut off all the branches on the right. It's one thing to perhaps remove a dead branch or two, but that was a step too far. Shame!
