Dawn Serenity at Curtis Island Lighthouse, Camden, Maine - Landscapes - MerrillShea

The Curtis Island Lighthouse was automated in 1972 and no one lives on the Island any longer. The town of Camden purchased the lighthouse a few decades later. The island is now a public park and you're welcome to visit it (by boat, of course). A nice spot for a picnic! I arrived at 5:15 and was disappointed to find the sky filled with clouds. I figured I was just out of luck, but for some reason I stuck around and fifteen minutes later I was rewarded with this beautiful scene.
