For me, traveling along parts of the Maine coast has always felt like taking a trip back in time.
This rusting old trawler is "The Squall". It was built in the 30s and then requisitioned by the Navy during WWII. It returned to fishing after the war until it was finally beached in 1972.
If you look closely, there is a sea bird's nest of some sort on top of the smokestack, perhaps an osprey.
Even though there was a brisk wind, it took at least an hour before the clouds finally cooperated.
